Recently a friend asked me if I was excited to go back to summer camp this summer. I looked away from the picninc table, then back at him and replied, “You could say that I feel like my life is about to start over, and that when I get to camp it will begin again.” It’s the freakin summer, baby! In the winter, you learn. In the summer, you live.
My academic life reached its relative end last week, and now my life, my real life, is about to pick up where it left off. Take me to camp now! I just spent a week with 4th years from UVA in the OBX, as well as one night at Lake Gaston at ChipwaWallis (the Massie’s lakehouse), and now my mind is refreshed! Clean slate! Lets put some new thoughts in my head and some new trails under my feet. This will likely be my last post until august, when it is very possible that once again I will return as a different person.
Camp Willow Run, get ready for me and the giant penguin costume that I just bought off of Ebay.
