Today in my language arts classroom I repelled from a 45 foot tree, shot spiderwebs against the ceiling, and convinced a handful of boys that koalas are very deadly animals. Oh, the glory of the first day of school.
You will have to forgive me, but for the next four months, nearly all of the posts I make will be stories from my middle school student teacher placement at Sutherland Middle School. I plan on recording those bizarre and utterly irrational incidents that happen in the halls of a middle school, as we all remember very clearly. Hopefully you will be able to relate. If not, then come back in January. But for the time being, I am preparing myself to laugh my head off.
Oh BTDubs… this band is unbelievable. If you have ever liked Keane, buy this cd instantly. Their music is way better than Keane’s, although of the same variety. But their lyrics are mostly worship poems, but they are sincere! You don’t see this very often in the Christian music genre. Worshipful lyrics that are not afraid to mention God and spirituality but are also very real, very believable, and very accessible. There is no pretension in Leeland. I recommend anyone buy it actually.
