I think I am a fan of acronyms. They are helpful for remembering prayer devices and for gospel sharing.
How to become a christian:
A – admit
B – believe
C – come
Christian Life Priorities:
J – Jesus first
O – Others second
Y – yourself last
A – adoration
C – confession
T – thanksgiving
S – supplication
Piper’s Morning Routines:
I – incline my heart to your word
O – open my heart to understand the word
U – unite the brokeness of my heart and repair me
S – satisfy my heart with the things it truly longs for from your word
I am adding my own. It’s been in development for the last three years, and borrows from plenty of these, but only recently did I rescramble it to see that it did actually spell a phrase.
C – carry your cross. It’s a call to let go of your reputation for the great cause. Mark 8:35
L – lead as a servant. Last is first. Love others as yourself.
O – open my heart for scripture. open my heart for other people.
S – satisfy my emotional desires. square peg in a square hole. Jer 2:13
E – evangelize. share my faith once a day. Phil 6
R – repair me. Psalm 51
I – incline my heart to invest in relationships. that’s the thing you’ll wish you had done more of after your career is over.
N – new self. Rom 6, 2 Cor 5:17
